Commissioned oil portrait. A variation of indirect layering techniques involving a warm, transparent under-painting and shadows, a bright, silvery modeling of the light mass, resin-medium body color, glazing layers, and final varnish. Was about a 9-month process, painted on 12 x 16" wood panel.
